On April 28, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the venue of the fifth International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia”, which officially opened today in the city of Tashkent.
The forum is being held at the Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan exhibition complex. The total exhibition area exceeds 18,000 square meters. More than 10,000 delegates from Russia, neighboring Central Asian countries, China, India, and other nations are participating in the event.
The exhibition showcases technological solutions, modern equipment, and finished industrial products from leading enterprises in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, metallurgy, chemical industry, transport sector, construction industry, IT, and other sectors.


During the tour of the pavilions and exhibitions, the Head of state particularly emphasized the significant potential for economic partnership and the opportunities for generating new business ideas.
Confidence was expressed that the forum will give impetus to promoting new large-scale projects, developing long-term partnerships, and expanding interregional cooperation.
On the sidelines of the event, the President of Uzbekistan met with the Russian delegation led by the First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.


The head of the Russian delegation conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan the greetings and best wishes of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
Issues related to the practical implementation of the agreements reached following the state visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan in May last year were discussed.
The positive momentum in trade turnover continues, and essential cooperation projects are being implemented, including with the active involvement of the regions of both countries.


The importance of enhancing trade and economic cooperation and advancing joint projects and cooperation programs was emphasized, including through the development of coordinated solutions within the framework of the INNOPROM forum.
At the meeting with the Rais of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, issues related to expanding industrial cooperation among leading enterprises and promoting active humanitarian exchanges were discussed.
An agreement was reached to continue intensive contacts and advance joint projects in the oil and gas, chemical, transport, tourism, and other sectors, including within the framework of industrial zones in the regions of Uzbekistan.


During the conversation with the Director General of State Corporation ROSATOM, Alexey Likhachev, the dynamic development of cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy was noted.
Special attention was given to the development of cooperation in the application of nuclear technologies in agriculture and medicine, as well as to the training of specialists based at the branch of MEPhI in the city of Tashkent.
The Leader of Uzbekistan also participated in a roundtable discussion during which the heads of regions and leading companies of the two countries presented concrete plans for implementing cooperation projects.
